Larry Johonnesson first incorporated Interior Maintenance Specialists with his wife, Pam, in 1993. IMS continues to be family owned and operated in Texas. We consider ourselves craftsman first and foremost, with the goal of providing our customers with the highest quality possible to exceed their expectations.
Since the beginning, IMS has been very involved with many trade organizations including the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning, & Restoration, the International Stone Institute, and the Business Owners and Manager Association of Dallas. We pride ourselves in engaging with the community and often sponsor events.

Owner
Larry Johonnesson
Larry’s love for textiles began during his work in hotels as an engineer. He did carpet cleaning on the side and fell in love with helping people through finding new techniques and products that streamlined services. As he continued, he began including his children in his work. They expanded the company together to include natural stone work, concrete services, and flood services.

Pam Johonnesson
Pam has been integral in the family business since its inception. As she and her husband, Larry, grew the business, she learned the ins and outs of administration, accounting, and supporting the family. Pam amazingly works behind the scenes to make sure everyone is take care of. In her spare time, she can be found baking or spending time with her grandchildren.
Director of Sales and MArketing
Lauren Hampton
Lauren’s main focus is sales and marketing, although she can be found doing just about everything at IMS. She is unafraid to step in and get her hands dirty to make sure that we exceed our customer’s expectations. She is very active in BOMA. Her almost 20 years of experience with the company means that she knows every aspect of the business and uses this knowledge to help customers solve any issues they may have. In her spare time, she can be found caring for her children Ethan, John, and Jackson or watching horror movies.

Jonathan Johonnesson
Jonathan has spearheaded finding new, environmentally friendly, and advanced techniques to streamline our procedures. His knowledge of interiors gives him an amazing amount of expertise, seemingly more than his 20 years in the company would lead you to believe. He’s constantly finding new ways to solve issues many of our customers face, often speaking with them directly to solve their problems.
Production Manager
Esteban Lopez
After over 20 years with IMS, Esteban is the head of all of our production crews. He can also occasionally be found helping with sales and research and development. His experience and expertise makes him indispensable to IMS as he is always able to help with clients and our production team to facilitate customer satisfaction. He immigrated from Mexico and has built his life in Texas, where his daughters are now graduated from college or in nursing school. He can often be found spending time with grandchildren in his spare time.
